SeedCount™ SC5000 Reflectance Analyser
SeedCount and CornCount are digital imaging systems specifically designed for the grain industry. They use software and flatbed scanner technology to rapidly and accurately analyse a sample of grain and determine its physical characteristics.
They generates detailed data tables that can be exported to any spreadsheet or database program and provide this detailed information without damaging the grain sample.
SeedCount and/or CornCount are for use by anyone who grows, sells, buys or uses grain and/or assesses its quality.
SeedCount SC5000 is available as either the SC5000R Reflectance Image Analysis System or the SC5000TR Transmission and Reflectance Image Analysis System.
SC5000R: Designed to collect a high resolution image of seeds and grains in a reflectance mode. These images are processed using the SeedCount software package to measure the physical characteristics of seeds and grains. |
The parameters measured by the SC5000R include: Length, width, breadth, colour, broken seeds and defects. Algorithms are available to use these basic measurements to determine attributes such as black tip, blackpoint, chalk and fungal staining.
SC5000TR: Designed to collect both the transmission and reflectance images of seeds and grains.
A transmission/reflectance tray is used to scan the sample in transmission to measure chalkiness, stress cracks and Horneous Endosperm and then scanned in reflectance to measure size, i.e., length, width, area, crowns, dents, chalk, vitreousness and colour.
