Dairy Milk Analyzer is a very attractive alternative to existing methods due to its unique profile, low cost and high analytical accuracy. A simple, quick and direct analysis of milk makes it suitable for optimal production control. Miris Dairy Milk Analyzer is built on the Mid-IR technique, which is approved by IDF (International Dairy Federation) as well as AOAC (International Association of Official Analytical Chemists).
Miris Dairy Milk Analyzer reliably analyzes milk for the content of Fat %,
Protein %,
Lactose % and
Dry matter %
All components are measured in one single step with no preparation of the sample. No chemicals are needed.
Features of the instrument are its small size, accuracy, robustness and easy handling. Miris Dairy Milk Analyzer is based on approved IR technology in combination with a new, unique patent pending technique.
The accuracy is very high and the measurement range is skimmed milk to coffee cream (15 % fat). With an option, it is also possible to analyze cream (up to 50 % fat).
The instrument is calibrated at the factory and only needs adjustment of the zerosettings. The result is presented with two decimals on the instrument display and can easily be transferred to your PC.
It is possible to manage the instrument either as a standalone unit or by using a keyboard and/or a mouse.
All analytical method’s reference levels must be checked within and between days. LOSstandard will help any laboratory to maintain the calibration level for all kinds of milk analysis methods.
LOSstandard milk sample is a heat and specially treated reference sample with a shelf life of at least four months. The special treatment minimizes changes to the original properties of milk regarding the analytical characteristics.
The special treatment increases the longevity for the somatic cells (cell count) and the variation between different samples in the same batch is kept to a minimum.
LOSstandard ensures reproducible analytical methods over time. The variation between samples within a production batch is less than +/- 0.02 %-units for fat, protein and lactose and less than +/- 5 % for cell count (optional).
Miris Sonicator
When milk has been stored for a long time or thawed, the milk tends to degenerate resulting in fat separation and protein aggregation.
Such milk is for analytical purposes of little use. The test result will depend on what part of the milk is sampled – not on the analytical
method or instrument. Using Miris Sonicator before testing the milk ensures the very best sample quality and thereby the highest test accuracy representing the true composition of the milk. The Miris Sonicator uses a computer calculated time setting based on sample volume input.
The unit is portable, rugged, and has been designed to be used in a laboratory environment.
Miris HMA - Human Milk Analyser
A new tool for individualized infant
nutrition intended for use in hospitals, milk banks
and child welfare centers. The Miris HMA is in use at
several university teaching hospitals around the world
and CE approved for in vitro diagnostics according European
Commission Directive 98/79/EC.
The HMA performs direct analysis on small samples of
breast milk, for fat, protein, lactose, energy and dry
matter, with advantages similar to DMA – robust,
portable, high accuracy using infrared transmission
spectroscopy requiring no chemicals, quick results that
can be transferred to PC.

LOSmixer
Many biochemical analyses of organic material require samples prepared in solutions. Preparing solutions is time consuming and reproducibility is difficult. In one step, LOSmixer, together with LOSsolver dissolving solution, homogenizes and liquefies solids and semi-solids into a homogeneous suspension or emulsion.
The mixer both homogenizes and cleans in one single run. You will obtain homogeneous suspensions within 30-180 seconds from samples ranging from 1-15 grams. Analyze the suspension with the chemical, physical and enzymatic methods you prefer.
Analyzing small food and feed samples are quick and reproducible with the LOSmixer on your lab bench. LOSmixer is very reliable - many laboratories at universities and dairy industries use the LOSmixer daily without any production stops.
LOSsolver
Most biochemical analyses of food and feed require sample preparation. Often, solids or semi-solids must be iquefied before the analytical step.
Usually the preparation is performed with a mixer, such as the LOSmixer. The LOSsolver dissolving solution improves mixing so that a homogeneous suspension/emulsion is obtained.
LOSmixer in combination with LOSsolver is an unbeatable duo for obtaining a liquid from solids, which has been in use at many laboratories for several years. LOSsolver and LOSmixer can easily be used together with any traditional wet chemistry method and spectroscopic method (UV, VIS, IR and FTIR).
The composition is always the same, so batch-to-batch reliability is excellent. Fish and meat samples prepared with LOSsolver have been scientifically documented. Freeze-dried cream, rennet-dried casein and grain are other products from which samples have been dissolved with LOSsolver and emulsified with LOSmixer.
